![]() ![]() I've been working at organisations with local admin rights even for non-administrators and at organisations having limited and managed access to admin rights. It is depending on your management policy if local admin rights are bad practice or expression of appropriate and practical implementation of that management policy unless forced by regulations that such management policy isn't assessed as compliant nor acceptable. Why would you then want to get rid of the practice of local admins if you don't fix the management policy first? So sounds like a chaotic management policy. ![]() Of course we review the need and check if the software is legit by itself. The requests are legit and we hardly limit the allowed software. Now the ticket wave started because people request us to install this and that software. We recently started to get rid of the bad practice of users being admins on their machines.
